PETCOKE

30k Ton Max / 10k ton per day. Not Letter of Credit.

Also known as petroleum coke, petcoke is obtained from a petroleum refining process and contains a high proportion of carbon. It is a form of solid coal produced through its thermal decomposition and the polymerization of heavy liquid hydrocarbons derived from the refining of crude oil.

Green delayed coking

A thermal cracking method in which carbonization reactions involve dehydrogenation, restructuring and polymerization. The working temperature fluctuates between 480ºC and 500ºC, and a complete production cycle takes a minimum of 16 hours.

Fluid coking

It is a continuous process of spraying at high temperatures on a fluid surface, in which the coke particles are kept at a pressure of between 20-40 psi and 500ºC. These feed vapors are subjected to thermal cracking while being deposited, forming a liquid film on the reheated coke particles, and eventually becoming nucleating agents.

MICRONIZED PETCOKE

Micronized coke is an evolution of petroleum coke. Thanks to the micronization system, a process developed more than 10 years ago by our organization, optimum properties are given for its use.

Broadly speaking, it consists of drying and grinding the coke to a size of 90 to 500 microns. The fuel consequently improves its properties, allowing an improvement of the combustion in the furnace and a reduction of the unburned.

These properties are mainly based on the homogenization of the product with respect to its size, moisture content, and increase in its calorific value, which allows for better stability in the combustion processes in which it is used.

In addition, due to its presentation, it provides improvements in supply and storage, comparable to other liquid or gaseous fuels.

THERMAL COAL

Due to its volatile content, thermal coal performs its combustion process constantly, which is why it is mainly used in industries and boilers that require stability in combustion.

Additionally, we distribute hullas with the following characteristics:

  • Washed coal/low ash content: max 2%

  • Low Al content coal: max 1%.

ANTHRACITE

This mineral is extracted directly from the mines and contains a high proportion of carbon, a low volatile content, and a low sulfur content, which give it excellent properties to be used in reduction processes, and also as a source of energy.

Depending on the origin of the mining basin, three types of anthracite qualities are identified:

Low volatile content

Anthracite is particularly suitable for carbon/reducer filler uses such as steel, metallurgical and chemical.

Medium volatiles content

It is especially suitable for domestic use, both for its ash content and for its higher level of volatiles, although it can also be used for industrial use.

High volatile content

Especially suitable for home use.

FOAMING

Specially designed to be used in the steel sector, as fixed carbon, foaming, and anti-slag contributors, GME has the following products:

Foaming agents have been designed to be used in the steel sector, as fixed carbon contributors, foaming agents, and antiscoriantes.

Anthracite

From anthracite with low volatile content and high carbon content, we carry out a drying, micronizing, and sieving process to supply the steel industry.

This material is distinguished by its low moisture content and high fixed carbon content.

Calcined petroleum coke

By a process of calcination of petroleum coke, a product is obtained that is very high in fixed carbon content (99%) and with exceptionally low levels of sulfur, volatiles, and nitrogen.

This product is especially suitable for the production of special steels, which require a high contribution of carbon during their manufacturing process.

METCOKE

Metcoke is obtained from coking ovens and its main function is combustion in reduction processes. The main composition of metcoke is made up of fixed carbon, sulfur, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, ash, and volatile matter. Its final composition will depend on the duration of the distillation process and the composition of the coking coals used.
